It's
not so much that I like Blogger ( I have a feeling I'm stuck with this
layout), but I like the way the comments look in ID and how the page
doesn't reload every time I reply. I'm a little concerned that comment
numbers aren't showing up on the blog page but it seems to be working
for now...

Years Word Count
The final word count on my Years Word
Doc is at about 123K. This number doesn't include Chapter 26 and the
chapter with call transcripts because those were on a separate
document. I'd estimate it at being around 135K - 140K including those. I
think there is another early chapter I wrote in a separate document as
well.
I thought Years was my longest but United Light was just short of 150K. My next longest is Compulsion, which is around 120K.
For context Sunshine, my latest serial, was 60K.
Cyberpunk
As
we all know Years is based off my cyberpunk series. When I started
doing cyberpunk back in the day I was so good and did so much research
about the genre and learned about William Gibson, one of the original
creators of the genre. This year a video game called Cyberpunk released
and this little exchange happened on Twitter:

Pinterest Inspys
I've been keeping a Pinterest board called Master Board for going on 3 years or so. I haven't really updated it in a while so I thought I'd just share it. It a mess of everything starting with UL3. Pinterest has an organization feature within Boards so I tried to clean it up. It's mostly Lucely!
As seems to be my life Pinterst has a bug and the organization feature stopped working before I could get to them all.
Not Done Quite Yet
I really thought I was done with Years but this story about an older!Nova has really captivated me. It's temporarily being called Heart Speak. It will probably be about 10 - 18K. It's weird, as I was drafting it I realized I kind of wrote the pandemic into it subconsciously ? I'm not sure how I feel about that.
I originally had this idea of writing a Harrison High companion from Nova's POV where Nova meets Mason's cousin Noah Presley and they conspire to do A Thing. I could never figure out how to make the A Thing work so I'm putting it on the back burner to do this older Nova story.
Extended Epilogue Part 1
I debated about how to end Years.
I wanted to "end it at the start", but I also wanted to end with a preview of the extended epilogue kind of like Lile did with Rogue. In the end it felt like too much to go back to the 90s and then come back to present day so I took the extended epilogue out.
But...it was also already written so I thought I'd share it along with another little thing I wrote that goes with it.
